What we collect

Information you give us

• Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
• Purchases and memberships: your name, email, phone number, and order history. Payments are processed by Square; we never see or store your full card number.
• Membership details: for families who join, a child's first name and birth month and year, which help our team guide children to the right play area and remember birthdays.
• Activity waiver: information you provide on our digital play waiver.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, phone, text or social media.

Information collected automatically

• How you found us: if you arrive through a tagged link (for example from an Instagram post), we record which link brought you, so we know which posts are worth making.
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. It uses cookies and collects data such as device type, approximate location (city level) and pages viewed.
• Advertising: we use the Meta Pixel to measure our Instagram and Facebook ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our website.

How we use it

• To send the newsletter and updates you signed up for
• To process purchases, memberships, bookings and gift cards
• To welcome you by name and run check-in
• To understand which marketing works, so we spend less on what doesn't
• To meet legal, tax and safety obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We never use information about children for advertising or to build ad audiences.

Emails and texts

• Email: every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at hello@chezmamiecafe.com.
• Text messages: we only send marketing texts if you tick a separate, unticked box agreeing to them. Consent is never a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out, or simply tell any member of our team.

Children

Our website is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Any information about a child comes from their grown-up, is used only to run their visits, and can be deleted on request, except for signed waivers and other records we are required to keep.

Photos: we do not post photos in which a child can be recognised without their grown-up's permission.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). To manage Meta ads, use your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements, including keeping signed waivers. To see, correct or delete your information, email hello@chezmamiecafe.com. We will respond within 30 days. No reason needed.

Security

We use reputable providers and limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you share.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be announced in our newsletter.
